Intended purpose: The Endotracheal tube is designed to establish and maintain a patent airway, ensuring adequate oxygen and carbon dioxide exchange.

 

Suggested Instructions for Use - Cuffed ETTs

1. Check the patient's trachea to select the appropriate specification and confirm insertion through the oral cavity.
2. Remove the sterile tracheal tube from its packaging.
3. Visually check the main tube lumen for patency before intubation.
4. Check the cuff, pilot balloon, and valve for leak-proofness and integrity.
5. Intubate the patient using accepted medical techniques.
6. Inflate the cuff with the correct pressure using a Luer syringe or VBM cuff pressure gauge.
7. Secure the tube in place and monitor cuff pressure periodically.
8. Monitor patient conditions during intubation and clean sputum as needed.
9. Deflate the cuff before extubation and dispose of the tube properly.

Contraindications

• Throat edema
• Acute inflammation of trachea
• Tracheal compression of thoracic aortic aneurysm
• Severe bleeding
• Cervical spinal injuries

Cautions

• Single-use only; do not use when expired.
• For trained healthcare personnel only.
• Intubation period should not exceed 30 days.
• Avoid applying laser on the tube.
• Dispose of the product and packaging according to hospital or environmental regulations.

Dispose of used Endotracheal Tubes and accessories in a sanitary container to prevent contamination and cross-infection.
