Directions for use
1.Gather the pediatric closed suctioning system, suction machine, sterile gloves, and any other necessary equipment.
2.Ensure the suction machine is functional and ready for use.
3.Check the suction catheter, tubing, and any other components for damage or contamination.
4.Evaluate the child's respiratory status, consciousness, and ability to tolerate the suctioning procedure.
5.Determine the need for suctioning based on the presence of secretions or respiratory distress.
6.Place the child in a comfortable position, typically supine or with the head elevated.
7.Ensure the child's airway is clear and accessible for suctioning.
8.Put on sterile gloves and ensure a sterile field is maintained during the procedure.
9.Cleanse the child's mouth and airway with sterile saline or water to remove secretions or debris.
10.Connect the pediatric suction catheter to the suction machine, ensuring a secure fit.
11.Turn on the suction machine and adjust the suction pressure to the recommended level for pediatrics.
12.Lubricate the suction catheter with sterile saline or water.
13.Gently insert the suction catheter into the child's airway, following the product's instructions for the appropriate depth.
14.Apply suction by pressing the suction control button while withdrawing the catheter slowly and gently.
15.Observe the secretions being suctioned and stop if the child shows discomfort or resistance.
16.Discontinue suctioning and turn off the suction machine.
17.Withdraw the suction catheter from the child's airway.
18.Monitor the child for any changes in respiratory status or discomfort.

1. Do not reuse or use expired products.

3. Ensure packaging is intact before use.
4. Maintain sterile technique throughout the procedure.
