Instructions for Use (uncuffed ETTs)
- Check patient's trachea to select the appropriate tube size
- Remove sterile tracheal tubes from packaging
- Visually check main tube lumen for patency
- Intubate patient using accepted medical techniques
- Secure tube in place
- Monitor patient during intubation and clean sputum
- Follow accepted standards for extubation and dispose of tube
Contraindications
- Throat edema
- Acute inflammation of trachea
- Tracheal compression of thoracic aortic aneurysm
- Severe bleeding
- Cervical spinal injuries
Cautions
- Single use only; do not use expired tubes
- For use by trained healthcare personnel only
- Intubation period should not exceed 30 days
- Avoid laser application on the tube
